On Friday 29th May, we were delighted to host members of our community at the Annual Public Meeting. Outgoing Chair, Cllr Abby Booker provided a report on Council activity and achievements over the last 12 months including the delivery of the NCC Local Communities Fund project, support to local groups including the Colwick Community Flood Signage scheme and wonderful litter picking volunteers and our positive dialogue and lobbying of Gedling BC to secure investment into the Colwick Rec car park.

New Chair, Cllr Meredith Lawrence hosted a session to hear the issues of our local community. Residents raised issues around road safety, traffic congestion, HMO concerns and local government reorganisation amongst other matters of interest and concern to our village.

We are now reviewing our Council Action Plan to ensure these issues become part of our efforts over the next 12 months to remain a strong voice for our local community. If you wish to tell us your ideas and issues, please complete our online survey. Your voice matters and the Council will do what we can to represent your views.
