Community Flood Response

Our Colwick Community Flood Signage Scheme is managed by volunteers and supported by Colwick Parish Council and Nottinghamshire County Council. The Community Flood Signage Scheme (CFSS) allows trained members of the community to close roads during times of flooding. The scheme promotes road safety, but also stops vehicles creating bow waves which can cause further damage to property.

We are proud to be the 50th accredited scheme in Nottinghamshire.

If you are interested in joining our volunteer group, please contact Frank Horsley (Parish Clerk) [email protected] or Nottinghamshire CC Flood Team [email protected]
